Testing Dublin

In this blog, we are sharing our thoughts about Dublin (Ireland, not Ohio). We have the following in common: we are interested in good food, and like to enjoy it in good company!

The testing will not be limited to food only. For example, we are also planning to see a Gaelic Football game together.

So this is what we have learned in Dublin!

Remark: The ratings are from 1 (bad) to 6 (excellent).

Ambience
"Pleasant distance between tables (...) strange but okay music."
"Nice decor, quiet, French music! A bit dark."
"Not noisy, so you can have good conversations. You have to ring on the door to be let in. One extra point for that."
"Low-key Asian atmosphere, nice, honest, and not exaggerating."
"Twist is diverse music ... a little jarring to hear French songs in a traditional Chinese restaurant."

Food
Sweet corn + crab chowder: "Standard soup, tasty but not special. Over-priced"
King prawns (sizzling) with green peppers and black beans: "Tasty, nice prawns, nice ginger flavour. Not enough vegetables."
Chicken with ginger and scallions: "Very tasteful, lots of ginger. Ordered a vegetable stir fry as a side order that never came..."
"Pretty nice Satay Skewer (are these really Chinese?). Impression is that they are very authentic for Ireland, but could be better."
Crab tofu soup: "A little salty, but that went away with the white pepper."
Drink
"Nice wine list with OK prices. Waiters keep pouring water/tea - good service."
Toilet
"Very spacious, flush tricky."
Remarks
"Restaurant easy to overlook!"
"Not as nice as had expected, still, cozy.
